Mesotherapy
Operation Description
Mesotherapy is very popular anti-aging method. During procedure, a specially formulated cocktail containing vitamins, minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid is injected into the central layer of the skin (mesoderm). This cocktail provides the skin with essential nutrients.
The exact composition of the mesotherapy cocktail can vary and is determined based on the needs and condition of the skin. The goal is to stimulate the production of elastin and collagen proteins by using this cocktail and to deeply hydrate the skin. This is achieved by activating fibroblasts, cells located in the central layer responsible for creating these proteins. As a result, the skin becomes renewed, radiant, and tightened.
Mesotherapy treatment is performed using micro-needles that create small injuries on the skin, aiming to stimulate healing and skin renewal.
During this process, special mesotherapy cocktails and serums containing a combination of active substances are injected into the skin:
- Vitamins (A, B, C, E, and K) and minerals
- Hyaluronic acid
- Amino acids
- Antioxidants

MESOTHERAPY FOR THE FACE - BEFORE AND AFTER
The skin begins to show the first signs of aging, such as fine lines around the lips and eyes, uneven tone, and visible capillaries, around the age of 30. As time goes on, wrinkles deepen, the skin loses elasticity, and starts to look tired and saggy.
Mesotherapy for the face is a treatment that visibly improves the appearance and quality of the skin.
Our patients' experiences show that after this treatment:
- The face appears fresh and tightened.
- Tonus and elasticity improve.
- The skin is hydrated and nourished.
- There are significantly fewer imperfections (wrinkles, scars, spots, acne).
Candidates
Mesotherapy is an excellent choice for skin care and rejuvenation. It is usually recommended to start mesotherapy in the late twenties, but it's never too late for this type of treatment.
Ideal candidates may include:
- Individuals who want to improve the appearance of their skin.
- Individuals who want to nurture their skin.
- Those who want to refresh and rejuvenate their skin in a less invasive way.
- Individuals with sagging skin and surface wrinkles.
- Individuals with uneven skin tone.
Mesotherapy not only positively affects sagging skin with surface wrinkles but also improves circulation, helping the body rid itself of toxins. Additionally, this treatment can address hyperpigmentation and acne. The treatment can be performed on the face, neck, and décolleté simultaneously or individually on one of these regions.
Preparation
Mesotherapy is a treatment that does not require any special preparation. During consultations, a doctor at Colić Hospital will assess the condition and needs of your skin. Accordingly, they will decide which substances will be used in the mesotherapy cocktail based on your age.
It is advisable to avoid sunbathing, alcohol consumption, and the use of aggressive cosmetics and makeup before the treatment to ensure that the skin is as clean as possible and ready for the procedure.
Operation time
Before starting the actual treatment, the skin is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and a numbing cream is applied.
Once it takes effect, micro-needles are used to create small punctures in the skin through which the mesotherapy cocktail is applied to deeper layers of the skin. This nourishes the skin, and the injuries from the punctures initiate healing mechanisms, promoting skin renewal.
The treatment lasts about 30 minutes.
Recovery
Mesotherapy is a non-invasive treatment, and patients can return to their daily activities immediately after the treatment.
After mesotherapy treatment, there may be slight redness and small bruises at the injection sites, along with mild swelling and sensitivity of the face. These symptoms quickly subside within a few days. A mild rash may also occur, but it is most common on sensitive skin.
For optimal results, it is recommended to undergo 4 to 6 mesotherapy treatments with a one-week interval. After that, the treatment is repeated every 6 to 12 months to maintain the results.
Safety precautions
Mesotherapy does not pose any special risks when performed by experienced medical staff. To avoid irritations, it is not recommended to use aggressive cosmetics and makeup, or expose the skin to the sun, swimming pools, or saunas within 24 hours after the treatment.
