AESTHETIC SURGERY – REMOVING BELLY FAT WITH LIPOSUCTION

When it comes to removing fat from the abdomen or other parts of the body, liposuction is one of the most popular methods used for body shaping. However, it is not intended for weight regulation or the removal of excess kilograms, nor is it designed for skin tightening. Liposuction of the abdomen and other body parts (hips, thighs, buttocks, upper arms, calves, etc.) is a surgical technique used to quickly and easily suction fat to achieve a more attractive body shape. However, in aesthetic surgery, it is limited to the removal of a maximum of 5kg of fat deposits, which is not sufficient in cases of excessive weight to achieve a more desirable appearance. One advantage of treatments such as liposuction of the abdomen or other body parts is that they can be combined with procedures such as facelifts, abdominoplasty, skin tightening in various body areas, buttock augmentation, correction of other body parts, and more.
How is abdominal liposuction performed?
Abdominal liposculpture or liposuction, as well as in other body parts, is performed through small incisions made by cannulas, which are special medical instruments. These cannulas are inserted under the skin, and fat is extracted using them. Cannulas used in procedures such as abdominal fat removal must be of various shapes and sizes to achieve uniform extraction of fatty tissue from all layers of the skin. Breaking down fat deposits by injecting a saline solution with adrenaline into critical areas before the procedure is possible to reduce bleeding and potential complications, making the process, such as abdominal fat removal, more manageable. This procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia and can last from 1 to 5 hours, depending on the number of regions covered by the surgery.
Moreover, after abdominal liposuction or another part of the body, if desired and needed, the removed fat tissue can be utilized to fill those parts of the body that you are dissatisfied with in terms of size or shape (lip augmentation, buttock enhancement, cheek augmentation, etc.), as well as for correcting irregularities, indentations, and wrinkles.
What is the recovery time, and are there complications with traditional abdominal liposuction?
Aesthetic surgery, like any operation, carries certain risks and potential complications, but with a professional and expert medical team, all of these are minimized! Immediately after procedures such as traditional abdominal liposuction, wearing a girdle or compression garment is necessary to gather excess skin. Wearing it is recommended for a minimum of three weeks after surgery. After abdominal fat removal or another part of the body, returning to regular activities is possible after 3 days if the patient's general condition is good and pain-free. Some rare complications that may occur include bruising, discoloration, and swelling, which are normal postoperative occurrences and usually subside after two weeks. In certain cases, there may be a disturbance in skin sensitivity, as well as the appearance of minor irregularities, making lymphatic drainage treatment and postoperative massages advisable.
What is the cost of liposuction?
The "Colić" Clinic not only offers traditional methods for body reshaping but also provides the option of choosing treatments such as BodyTite—a more sophisticated procedure for eliminating body fat, simultaneously tightening the treated area's skin! BodyTite is a treatment in which radiofrequency waves are used to remove body fat much more easily than with traditional liposuction, causing significantly less trauma to the skin, resulting in a smoother recovery and fewer complications! A significant advantage of the BodyTite method for body reshaping is its ability to contract, meaning that this treatment simultaneously tightens the skin, which is not the case with traditional liposuction!
The cost of liposuction in our clinic partly depends on which procedure you choose—traditional aesthetic surgery or body reshaping with the BodyTite device! Regarding BodyTite, the cost of liposuction starts from €1000 for knee and inner thigh liposuction, ranging from €1500 to €2000 for upper arm and back liposuction, up to €3000 for abdominal, lumbar, and hip liposuction. As for traditional methods, the cost of liposuction ranges from €2500 to €5000, depending on the region that needs to undergo the procedure. However, when deciding on any treatment, it is best to call us first and schedule an examination. After that, we will be able to tell you the specific cost of liposuction in your case.
