What operative techniques are available to you?

Buttock augmentation can be achieved in two ways.

The first involves inserting implants through an incision just below the coccyx, where prostheses are placed on both sides, requiring between one and two hours under general anesthesia. The silicone implants themselves have specially designed envelopes to withstand great stress and prevent unwanted consequences.

The second method lifts the buttocks through the transfer of fatty tissue from one part of the body to another. This is done by liposuction of specific regions where fat deposits typically accumulate, such as the abdomen and hips, and then the collected fat tissue is precisely and evenly distributed to the buttock region through several stages. Brazilian lifting, as this procedure is also known, is becoming increasingly popular and is often combined with implant placement. Due to the combination of different procedures, this method takes between two and three hours.

Which one is smarter to choose?

It all depends on what our clients have defined as their desire. After that, through consultations with our doctors, the option or combination that will achieve the desired results is determined. Also, numerous factors influence these decisions.

First of all, the development of gluteal muscles, the position of fatty tissue, and skin tone in each patient individually. Besides buttock augmentation, does the patient also want to address the issue of fat deposits on the stomach, waist, and back, where liposuction can help? Finally, depending on the physical condition of each patient individually, it is assessed how much fat can be drawn for Brazilian lifting and whether it is sufficient to achieve the set goals or if silicone implants are needed for that. All of this is carefully considered and assessed together with the doctors before making the final decision.

It is also important to note that after Brazilian lifting, a certain amount of injected fat is reabsorbed and disappears in the first month. Therefore, patients often opt for implants as a permanent solution or a combination of these two techniques that bring a beautiful and rounded buttock as an initial goal and a recontoured, slim line in other regions, achieving a more attractive overall body appearance.

What can be expected after surgery?

Regardless of the chosen method, patients are usually discharged the next day after surgery. Return to regular social activities is possible after 2 to 3 weeks, during which patients come for regular weekly check-ups or as needed. After 6 weeks, patients are allowed to return to previous sports activities.

As a precaution, patients are advised to avoid sitting and lying and sleeping are recommended on the side or stomach. Daily wearing of a special compression garment is also recommended to reduce the potential risks' impact on the results. Pain and discomfort caused by swelling and bruising can be alleviated with medication, and all discomforts subside 3 weeks after surgery.
