Lipolysis
Operation Description
Lipolysis is a treatment designed for the reduction of cellulite and non-surgical body contouring. During the procedure, natural enzymes and other active substances are injected directly into targeted areas with the aim of breaking down fat deposits. The mechanism of action mimics the body’s natural fat metabolism — a process in which enzymes break down fat molecules into smaller components, such as fatty acids and glycerol, which the body then uses as a source of energy. Lipolysis can be performed on the upper arms, abdomen, hips, and thighs.

Candidates
Ideal candidates for lipolysis are individuals who:
-
Have localized fat deposits that persist despite diet and exercise
-
Seek a gentle and safe alternative to liposuction
-
Do not have significant health issues that could interfere with the procedure
This treatment is not recommended for individuals with excessive body weight, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those with serious health conditions or allergies to components used in the procedure.
Preparation
Before the procedure, the number of necessary sessions is discussed with the physician, depending on the treatment area and the condition of the patient’s skin. It is advised to avoid blood-thinning medications and alcohol several days before the treatment, stay well hydrated, and refrain from using aggressive skincare products on the treated area. Patients should have realistic expectations and understand that results develop gradually, typically over multiple sessions.
Operation time
Lipolysis is performed on an outpatient basis and does not require hospitalization. After skin disinfection, the physician precisely injects enzyme-based substances into the targeted fat tissue. The procedure takes about 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the treated area. Patients may feel mild discomfort or a stinging sensation at the injection site, but the procedure is generally not painful.
Recovery
Following treatment, mild swelling, redness, or bruising may occur in the treated area, typically resolving within a few days to a week. Most patients return to their normal activities immediately. It is recommended to avoid intense physical activity and direct sun exposure for a few days after the procedure. For optimal results, a series of treatments may be required, scheduled at intervals determined by your physician.
