Preparation
Preparing for buttock surgery involves several steps. As the procedure is performed under general anesthesia, laboratory analyses and a medical examination with an ECG are necessary. It is recommended to quit smoking a month before surgery, and the intake of aspirin and herbal supplements that may affect blood coagulation should cease two weeks before.
Operation time
Plastic surgery of the buttocks involves making an incision in the intergluteal region or 1 cm from it on both sides after the patient is under general anesthesia. The incisions are made to be nearly imperceptible. Implants are then placed in the agreed-upon location, either under the fascia of the large gluteal muscle or within it. The incisions are sutured, concluding the procedure. The surgery lasts about an hour and a half.
Recovery

The recovery time is individual and depends on the patient. Most individuals return to work and daily activities within two weeks. However, it is advisable to avoid strenuous efforts and heavy lifting for the next 6 to 8 weeks. After 7 days from the surgery, when the incision has fully healed, the patient comes for suture removal.
Safety precautions
Expected after the procedure are mild swelling and bruising, which quickly subside. Additionally, activating the gluteal muscles and applying pressure during sitting, walking, and lying down can cause more intense pain. Therefore, the patient needs to rest as much as possible and lie on their stomach to avoid pressure on the buttocks.
